Who's it For?

Individual Counseling

Our approach to individual counseling is an integrated approach, rooted in Humanistic Psychology, including concepts from Attachment Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

We work with individuals to explore the root of difficult emotion, and teach skills to cope with struggles, while believing in the human capacity for self-actualization, self-direction, and choice.

We help address core issues to improve problem behavior or negative feelings.

Family Therapy

Our approach to Family Therapy is an integrative approach drawing inspiration from Structural Family Therapy, Transgenerational therapy models, and Cognitive-Behavioral Family Therapy.

We work with families to understand how their communication patterns are impacting their family system.

We help parents explore how their families of origin have influenced their expectations in their current family system, and the problems that arise therein.

We also facilitate families' investigation into their automatic thoughts and feelings.

We help parents learn to interact effectively with their children.

Couples Counseling

Our approach to couples counseling includes methods from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago Relationship Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy  (GMCT), and Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT).

We view the relationship itself as the client and work to enhance positivity in relationships by exploring patterns of communication.

We focus on tolerance of different personalities, while uncovering each other's love languages.

We focus on perspective and provide each member of the couple a voice to be heard and understood in the relationship.

We help draw partners closer together by cultivating high levels of empathy and understanding - often by exploring each other's childhood experiences.
